Celebrating 20 years in Gunzgen

From Carnaby Street to Gunzgen: M+R Spedag celebrates the 20th anniversary of their Textile-Distribution-Center in Gunzgen.
 
On November 11, 2011, M+R Spedag Group celebrated the 20th anniversary of their Textile-Distribution-Center in Gunzgen. M+R Spedag Switzerland has been active in the field of textile logistics for more than 4 decades, since the time of of the fashion boom centered around London's Carnaby Street. Over the years, textile services where gradually extended.

The expansion to Asia in 1985 was initially based on the strategy of offering Swiss clients logistics services for their entire supply chain, all the way from the new textile manufacturing centers in Asia.

In 1990, M+R Spedag was one of the driving forces in the forming of Fashionet, the European Logistics Network of Textile Experts. In 1991, the Textile-Distribution-Center in Gunzgen opened it's doors. The terminal buildings were expanded in 2007 to a total of 20'000 m2 of handling and storage area for hanging and flat packed garments.
