Expansion into India

M+R Spedag Group to integrate PL Shipping & Logistics Pvt. Ltd into its group of companies
 
M+R Spedag Group and PL Shipping & Logistics Pvt. Ltd., are pleased to announce the coming together of the two companies. Effective September 1, 2010, PL Shipping & Logistics Pvt. Ltd. will become an integral part of the M+R Spedag Group. Through this strategic acquisition, the M+R Spedag Group gains access to the fast growing Indian market, creating synergies for both entities.
There will be no changes in the organizational structure of PL Shipping & Logistics Pvt. Ltd. with Ramkumar continuing as Managing Director and Jayaram as the Chief Operating Officer, with Daniel Richner taking over as Chairman. The company will continue to exist under the same name for the next few months and the initial period will be used for the integration of the two organizations.
This integration will provide our customers and agent partners access to an extended Asian network, enhanced IT capabilities and a wider scope of services.
