Stefan Hoecketstaller takes on position of CEO at M+R Spedag (Switzerland)
 
As of March 1, 2008, Stefan Hoecketstaller will sign as the new CEO of M+R Spedag Switzerland, informs Daniel Richner, Owner and President of the M+R Spedag Group.

For the past 6 years, Stefan Hoecketstaller has managed and continuously expanded the overland business of M+R Spedag Switzerland. In April 2006, he has taken on the position of COO, and has subsequently been responsible for all operative matters of M+R Spedag Switzerland. He now assumes the overall responsibility, with the aim to further cement the firm's position as the leading independent logistics company in Switzerland.

"We are the only independent forwarder in Switzerland serving all of Europe with regular line hauls. For all of our partners across Europe, traffics with Switzerland are top priority. This focus results in a high frequency of departures and unmatched reliability", stresses Hoecketstaller. The company follows a similar strategy for overseas traffics. For more than 30 years already it offers direct consolidation services to various  destinations, e.g. to  New York or even to  Morocco. In East- and South Africa, the group has been represented with own offices for decades.

But the biggest growth is seen in East Asia. The new priority of Daniel Richner will be to coordinate the ongoing expansion in this region. One out of two of the group’s employees is based in Asia, where the organisation maintains 28 fully operational offices in 8 countries, and these numbers are likely to grow. “The Chinese market is receiving our highest attention, and as owner of the company I will actively bring in my expertise in the one area in which the 21st century offers the biggest growth potential for the Group", he comments.
