HR Richner as guest of honour abord the M/V YM Utmost
 
M/V YM Utmost, the latest container vessel of  Taiwan based Yang Ming Lines, was launched on October 17, 2006 from the Korean port of Ulsan. On it's maiden voyage to Europe, the vessel called in Hong Kong on October 24, where it's arrival was duly celebrated.

Hansruedi Richner, Honorary President of the M+R Spedag Group, at the time on a "Farewell" tour through Asia, received the honor of participating in the inauguration ceremonies, together with Mr. Eric Miau, Managing Director of Yang Ming Line, Mr. David Chen, General Manager of HIT (Hong Kong International Terminal) as well as the captain of M/V YM Utmost.

In China, a suckling pig is traditionally served at special occasions only, such as a marriage or an inauguration ceremony. It signals that the event is of great importance, and at the same time symbolizes a good start. According to Chinese tradition, eating suckling pig (which is of reddish color), is thought to bring with luck, happiness, health and prosperity, attributes which are generally associated with the color red.
